Day 01:

Welcome to Sri Lanka, the teardrop – shaped island just off the coast of India.

Meeting & assistance upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your first destination of the Tour, Negombo

Day 02:

After Breakfast transfer to the center point of cultural triangle, Dambulla . En-route visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage where you can  get up close and personal with some of Sri Lanka's largest animals, and observe them going about their daily life, feeding, playing and bathing in the local river. Afterwards visit The Serene Cave Temples at Dambulla that house hundreds of statues of Buddha and are completely covered in ancient frescoes.

Day 03:

Morning, we visit the Hiriwadunna  village where you can see the people cultivating & gardening. Visit to a small house made out of mud and enjoy a homemade lunch with the villagers. Whist reaching lake the cart stops near boat and drink Kurumba or Thambili (Young Coconut or King Coconut). Thereafter sailing the Habarana Lake by Oruwa (Local made catamaran) to witness the villages are fishing in the Lake. This memorable village visit takes nearly three hours.  

There after visit Polonnaruwa. The capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to 13th century, one of the most interesting parts of Sri Lanka, has splendid and spectacular statues, palaces and monasteries that fascinates the eyes of the tourists.

Day 04:

After breakfast you can climb  the famous rock fortress of Sigiriya – ‘Lion Rock’. Built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century, this impressive site is located on top of a vast 200-metre granite rock, some 750 steps up!

Afterwards transfer to the Hill capital  Kandy. En-route visit a spice plantation in Matale, where an explanatory tour of each tree, each plant species and the use of the latter will be held in the kitchen. You can see cinnamon, cardamom, pepper, and many other species which can be purchased at the same stores. Also visit Batik Factory - Where you can watch the spectacular Batik prints are made in skirts, blouses, pillows, etc.

Day 05:

After breakfast visit  the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. There are over 5,000 kinds of trees, many native plant species including indigenous, alien or new species. What is notable in this garden is the large collection of orchids has.

Afterwards you can visit  the Kandy City markets , Gem Museum  and Wood Carving Center. Evening you will  get  entertained by a local dance performance followed by a visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha  where you will witness a traditional Puja Ceremony.

Day 06:

After breakfast spend some time at leisure in the hotel before taking the train to Nuwara Eliya,  The train leaves from Kandy  (Peradeniya  Station ) at 12.30 Hrs (driver leads you to the 1st Class wagon and finds your seat for you and hurriedly makes his own way to the Nuwara Elliya  Station by vehicle to meet you on arrival). A breathtaking view of the misty mountains covered with lush tea estates, steep mountain slopes, large number of  water falls and tunnels is opened from the window of the 01st Class wagon during this trip. The train reaches Nuwara Elliya  at 15.51 Hrs. Upon arrival, check into hotel

Day 07:

Early morning collect your packed breakfast from the hotel and proceed to The Horton Plains National Park to go on trek to see the World’s End. You will be picked up from the hotel by a Jeep to take you to the park which is 36 KM away from the Nuwara Elliya city.   This trek is 4 KM, but the trail loops back to Baker’s fall (2km) and continues back to the entrance (another 3.5km). The 9.5km round trip takes a leisurely three hours. Unless you get there early the view from World’s End is often obscured by mist. Early morning (between 6am and 10am) is the best time to visit before the clouds roll in. That’s when you’ll spy toy-town, tea-plantation villages in the valley below, and an unencumbered view south towards the coast. Wear strong and comfortable walking shoes, a hat and sunglasses. Bring sunscreen, water & a few extra layers of warm clothing (it’s very cold up there at 7am). It is forbidden to leave the paths so always follow your group or guide If you have young children with you, keep a very firm grip on them as you approach the cliff edge.

Afternoon at your convenience commence a sightseeing tour of the city. Walk around the  beautiful town of Nuwara Eliya, called Little England of Sri Lanka, is in beautiful scenery of mountains, valleys, waterfalls and tea plantations. Walk around  the Local Market place, Golf Course, (one of the finest 18 holes Golf courses in Asia) the Hill club, and drive around this hill station viewing Lake Gregory.

Day 08:

Morning check out from the hotel and transfer  to the capital of the southern province is a city with a colorful history, Galle.

The magnificent Dutch Fort is the most popular attraction of the town and is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. 300 year old Dutch atmosphere is still very much alive around the fort and amidst its many historical buildings not invaded by the skyscrapers. Visit the Dutch Museum in the Fort. Afterwards  transfer  to the South Cost Cristal Beaches  of Hikkaduwa

Day 09:

Spend the your day at leisure on the beach. While in your hotel, you can enjoy a number of water sports such as swimming, snorkeling or diving etc. All the equipment you need can be hired   enjoy yourself in the beautiful surroundings in the afternoon.

Day 10:

After breakfast, transfer to the drive to Colombo airport to board your onward flight.
